6 questions for Tariq Hanna, Sucre Pastry Chef

Located on eclectic Magazine Street, Sucre is much more than an artisan pastry shop and is better described as paradise for all lovers of savory sweets.  From thyme-flavored chocolate and elegant wine pairings to pastel macaroons and cheeseburger shaped cakes, Sucré is a pastry experience unlike any the city has ever seen. We Live to Eat…We Certainly Do

What does it mean to live to eat?  I am sure if you asked a thousand people across the United States, you would get a thousand different answers.  However, if you asked a thousand New Orleanians, the resounding response would be, “A way of life.”  Our restaurants and recipes are sacred children of this city.  It’s what we know and what we protect.  Just look around you, every corner restaurant has a history.  Each of those buildings has a story, and each story has touched a thousand lives to become the glue that binds us to this great city.
